Green for the Environment
Green Clean Certified also protects our environment, with cleaning solutions that are biodegradable, safe when discharged in water, and packaged in concentrate to reduce impact on landfills and depletion of natural resources. Green cleaning products are also low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs pollute the soil, ground water and air around us, produce greenhouse gasses and contribute to global warming.
The cleaning industry uses 6 billion pounds of cleaning chemicals a year, according to the EPA. Nearly all of those chemicals are damaging to the environment.
